Description
An interior view of the Truman & Jacobson Haberdashery at 104 W. 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. In the store, left to right, are: Harry S. Truman; Francis Berry (a corporal in the 129th); Mike Flynn (a Lieutenant in Battery "D"); and Kelsey Cravens (a friend of Truman). The store served as a gathering place for men of the 129th Field Artillery from November, 1919 to 1922. Edward Jacobson, who was a sergeant in Truman's Battery, was the President's partner until the boys "went broke" in 1922. (See also 82-153.)
