Description
This is a portrait of Lieutenant Charles Jones, the captain of the USS Manchester's helicopter, "Clementine". The photograph was taken just prior to the donning flight for the trip that was to be Clementine's last. The helicopter was shot down during a rescue mission for a Navy pilot in Korea. Jones survived the crash.
