Description
A helicopter can be seen in the far right of the picture as it lifts off from the deck of the USS Manchester on it way to assist a downed pilot. Air Force pilot Captain William R. Yoakley had crashed on the east coast of Korea and required rescue. The photograph is part of an album entitled "Pictures by R. Admiral Lewis Parks. USS Manchester."
