Description

Muzzle flashes form a sheet of flame as the USS Manchester fires a broadside from its main and secondary batteries in the pre-dawn hours. The action took place near Kosang, Korea, as part of Task Force 95 bombardment of the Korean coast. The photograph is part of an album entitled "Pictures by R. Admiral Lewis Parks. USS Manchester."
