Description
President Harry S. Truman signing S.J. Res. 72, which gives benefits to Korean war veterans, except the GI Bill of Rights. The Chief Executive asked Congress for the bill after hearing that a Veterans Administration hospital in Arizona had refused to admit a Korean War veteran because he had not served in an "official" war.
