Description

Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt speaking from a rostrum on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, addressing the closing session of the 38th annual conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Seated in the first row on the right of the rostrum are: Walter White, President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; President Harry S. Truman, who also addressed the conference; and Senator Wayne Morse.
