President Harry S. Truman, center, is shown shaking hands and looking at the Congressional Medal of Honor that he has just presented to recipient Lieutenant Carl H. Dodd. Standing on the right is Secretary of Defense George C. Marshall. Lieutenant Dodd, of Kenvir, Kentucky, received his medal for heroic action in January, 1951, in Korea.
